Rou is a project about a recondite valley in the centre of Porto and the power of information to change urban space. Rou has envolved research, writing, photographic and editorial work.
The publication Rou — art practices in the valley, is a catalogue that documents the work produced in 2011 by four artists in residence at Rou, a local association dedicated to social and cultural development of the area. The artworks explore the particular history and social context as well as the visual and
aural landscape of the valley. The artists, the association and the rest of the information contained in the catalogue is fictitious.
